Stillwater Police: Fleeing Driver Crashes, Goes to Jail for Possessing More than 25 Grams of Meth

A White Bear Township man allegedly led Stillwater police on a chase down Curve Crest Boulevard Saturday night that ended in a crash and an arrest for possessing more than 25 grams of methamphetamine.

A White Bear Township man was arrested for possession of more than 25 grams of methamphetamine last weekend after leading Stillwater police on a chase down Curve Crest Boulevard.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday police attempted to make a traffic stop on suspicion that a White Bear Township man was driving on an invalid license.

The 25-year-old man had other ideas.

He allegedly fled police traveling west on Curve Crest Boulevard in the eastbound lane before striking another vehicleβ€” bringing the motor vehicle pursuit to an end.

The man then got out of his vehicle and fled the scene on foot, according to police. He was eventually arrested with the assistance of a Washington County K-9 officer.

According to police, the man was in possession of three bags of meth containing a total of 28.8 grams.

No one was injured in the crash.

Charges of fleeing police in a motor vehicle and second-degree possession of a controlled substance have been forwarded to the Washington County Attorney’s Office for review.
