Stillwater Police: Vandals Cause about $20K in Damage to Two Vehicles on Laurel Street
A St. Paul man and five of his friends came out of the Harbor Bar Sunday night to find two vehicles were spray painted yellow, the seats were stabbed with a sharp object and the seat belts had been cut with a knife.
A St. Paul man and five of his friends parked their vehicles on Laurel Street last weekend and walked into the for drinks after a wedding. When they came out of the bar about two hours later, they found someone had caused about $20,000 in damage to two vehicles.
were called to a property-damage report that occurred between 10 p.m. and midnight Sunday in the 800 block of Laurel Street after vandals spray painted two vehicles yellow (both inside and out), stabbed the seats with a sharp object, cut the seatbelts with a knife and then keyed the cars.
The vandals caused between $15,000-$20,000 in damage to the vehicles, according to the report. There are no suspects at this time.

When asked, the owner of the vehicles told police he did not have any problems with anyone in particular at the bar and βdid not suspect that the damage was racially motivated.β
The case was forwarded to the investigations unit for review.
