Stillwater Softball Squeezes By Woodbury 2-1
Squeeze bunts score only runs in Suburban East Conference showdown
The Stillwater High School Softball team used two consecutive squeeze bunts to score both runs in a 2-1 victory over Woodbury.
Until the 5th inning Stillwater had managed only three hits, but proceeded to load the bases and then scored two runs on two consecutive squeeze bunt plays. Winning pitcher Rachel Rhode limited the Royals to only 5 hits, and helped keep them scoreless until the 6th inning.
Stillwater (10-1, 7-0 Suburban East Conference) faces Moundsview in another conference game on Wednesday.
