Students Recognized At Scholastic Arts And Writing Awards

Five students from Stillwater Area High School were recognized by the 2017 Minnesota Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards. It's considered the most prestigious high school arts and literary arts competition in the country, according to school officials.

• Dylan Cook earned a Gold Key for his entire eight-piece photography portfolio.
• Stefan Abbot and Alex Daum both won a Silver Key in sculpture, according to a news release.
• Chris Krautbauer was named honorable mention in sculpture, while Tiana Meadow earned two honorable mentions in painting.
