Stillwater Woman Robbed At Bank, Suspect Had Semi-Automatic: Police

Police say the incident occurred at the U.S. Bank branch located at 213 E. Chestnut Street in Stillwater.

STILLWATER, MN — The Stillwater Police Department is investigation the armed robbery of a Stillwater woman that occurred just before noon Sunday. Police say the incident occurred at the U.S. Bank branch located at 213 E. Chestnut Street. The woman was robbed at gunpoint by a male suspect who displayed what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun while using the lobby ATM, according authorities.

Police said the male suspect is described as between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet in height, slender build, wearing a charcoal grey hooded sweatshirt with the hood up and pulled tight, sun glasses and some type of black fabric covering the face, with green shorts that went past the knee, possibly camouflage in design.

The suspect was initially observed fleeing on foot, west on Chestnut Street, but was observed by witnesses getting into a light colored, possibly silver early 90s model Ford Focus, last seen Northbound on 2nd street from Myrtle Street, according to police.
