Stillwater's Yorga Headed To NDSU Lacrosse Team
The Ponies' standout midfielder will join the Bison in 2012.
The North Dakota State University men’s lacrosse team announced Wednesday that graduate Tony Yorga will join the team as part of the Bison’s 2012 recruiting class.
Yorga, a standout midfielder for the Ponies during his high school career, helped lead the Ponies to a 7-5 overall record last spring and a 4-2 record in the Suburban East Conference, good for second place behind Mounds View. Yorga was fifth on the team with 10 points during the year, scoring seven goals and adding three assists.
According to the Bison’s press release, the team is excited about Yorga’s ability to be an offensive threat while also playing solid defense.
