Vehicle Breaks through Ice After Driving on St. Croix River
Washington County officials are asking residents to be aware of the local ice depth before driving on the ice with vehicles.

Washington County officials are asking residents to be aware of the local ice depth before driving on the ice with vehicles. On Dec. 29, an individual attempted to drive from the Boomsite Department of Natural Resources Boat Launch to Wisconsin via the St. Croix River.
Authorities say the vehicle went through the ice shortly after getting onto the river.
"This could have been another deadly reminder of thin ice, but luckily no one was injured," The Washington County Sheriff's Office said on Facebook.
