Vehicle Collides With Pedestrian On Stillwater's Main Street

The driver will be cited for the incident, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

One man was hospitalized Monday after being hit by a vehicle while he was crossing Main Street in downtown Stillwater.

Thomas Wells, 52, of Saint Paul, suffered minor injuries after he was struck by a 2012 Honda CRV, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. He was transported by ambulance to Lakeview Hospital.

The crash occurred at 12:10 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Myrtle Street, the Pioneer Press reported.

Margaret Richter, 62, of Roseville, was driving east on Myrtle and turning onto Main Street before the collision occurred.

Lt. Tiffani Nielson told the Pioneer Press that Richter will be cited for not yielding to a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
