In the spirit of transparency (and humor), I have a confession (and a humble apology) to make.
If you came to Stillwater Patch because you gave Editor Shawn Hogendorf an on-camera interview during the Stillwater Marathon and wanted to see how it turned out ... My guess is you found you didn't make the cut...
Let's just say: It wasn't you, it was me.

If you're reading this (for some odd reason) I applaud you and have an explanation—a blooper video if you will.
After videographer Lana Iwaskewycz captured marathon footage-- and two interviews on the course-- I cut her loose so she could attend a meeting for her other job.

"I'll just go catch an interview with volunteers passing out water and then head down to the finish line, get some b-roll and talk with a few runners," I told her. "Don't worry about it."
Later that afternoon I called Lana to tell her what great interviews I got from runners and suggest that we drive the course in an effort to show how long a 26.2-mile run really is.
So the next day rolls around. Lana and I finish filming the course , I pass along "my footage" from the race for editing and we part ways.
About 30 minutes later, I got a text from Lana stating: "You're not going to believe what you did dude:) LOL"
You guessed it.
The old "turn-the-camera-off-for-the-interview trick."
As you'll see from "my footage" the camera was on to record my stroll through the park, only to be turned off just in time for our interview.
Classic.
