Video Shows Cop Nearly Hit After Her Squad Car is Rear-Ended on I-94
A video shows how a Hudson police officer nearly lost her life after her squad car was hit at highway speed on Interstate 94.

"Slow Down and Move Over!" That's the message the Hudson Police Department wants to impart on motorists after one of their squad cars was rear-ended and significantly damaged on Interstate 94 Monday morning. According to a post on the department's Facebook page, the squad car was rear ended while the police officer was assisting with a disabled vehicle on an I-94 bridge.
Video shows the squad car parked in the left lane before it was hit by a truck (not seen) at highway speed. The officer was not in the squad car at the time of the accident and no one was injured, police say.
The squad car, a Ford Taurus, was on the Hudson Bridge with its emergency lights activated, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. A Ford pickup struck the rear of the unoccupied squad car causing it to cross all lanes of traffic and collide with the right wall.

Only the driver of the pickup sustained non-life threatening injuries. Amazingly, the police officer was able to dodge the crash and walk away unscathed.
Officers are asking motorists to remember to slow down and move over when you see a public safety vehicle with its emergency lights on.
