White Bear Lake Sex Offender Convicted Again Of Child Porn Possession
The 28-year-old was already a registered sex offender when he was caught with child pornograph, according to federal authorities.

RAMSEY COUNTY, MN — A White Bear Lake man was sentenced Friday for a child pornography conviction, U.S. Attorney Andrew M. Luger announced.
Justin John Mitchell, 28, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of child pornography in June.
Mitchell was already a registered sex offender and on supervision for a previous child pornography conviction at the time of the most recent offense, authorities said.

On Friday, Mitchell was sentenced to 120 months in prison followed by 15 years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $8,000 in restitution and $3,000.
Authorities found Mitchell in possession of thousands of images and videos of child sexual abuse in August 2019 and January 2022, according to investigators.

The images Mitchell had showed the sexual abuse of prepubescent minors, authorities said.
