Woodbury Man Allegedly Sells Police Informant More Than 4 Grams of Cocaine

An 18-year-old Woodbury man faces felony drug charges after he allegedly sold a confidential informant more than 4 grams of cocaine.

Anthony Michael Kautz was charged by the with second-degree sale of a controlled substance.

According to the criminal complaint, on Oct. 4 Kautz sold 4.1 grams of cocaine to an informant wearing a wiretap during a controlled buy in Oak Park Heights.

During the deal, a detective with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force heard Kautz tell the informant he was “deeply involved with two drug dealers” and could get “multiple types of controlled substances,” the complaint states.

If convicted, Kautz faces a maximum of 25 years in prison and up to $500,000 in fines for the second-degree sale of a controlled substance charge.
