Richfield Man Hospitalized Following Hit And Run: Police

Police were dispatched to the area of 79th 1/2 Street and Stevens Avenue regarding a subject lying unconscious in the street Tuesday.

BLOOMINGTON, MN — At about 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 11, Bloomington police officers were dispatched to the area of 79th 1/2 Street and Stevens Avenue regarding a subject lying unconscious in the street. Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old Richfield man who was suffering from significant injuries to his head and lower body.

The injuries appeared to be consistent with being hit by a car, police said. The victim was transported to the Hennepin County Medial Center, according to a news release.

The incident is currently being investigated at this time as a hit-and-run resulting in personal injury. Anyone having witnessed this incident or having information is encouraged to call the Bloomington Police Department at (952) 563-4900.
