30 Days In Jail For Drunk Driver Who Killed 5-Year-Old MN Boy

Five-year-old Lukas Wharton​ was playing in a wagon outside his family's home when he rolled into the roadway May 24, 2016.

A Dodge County man will serve 30 days in jail after driving into a 5-year-old Minnesota boy, who died from the crash days later. Police said Myles Keller, 70, had a BAC over .08 within two hours of driving when he when he fatally struck Lukas Wharton in Olmsted County.

Wharton was playing in a wagon outside his family's home when he rolled into the roadway May 24, 2016. Authorities said Keller was obeying the speed limit at the time of the incident and stopped after he struck Wharton and dialed 911, the Star Tribune reported.

According to ABC 6 News, during the sentencing, father Josh Wharton said, "I still walk miles and miles at night searching for him. I'd do anything to hold his hand or be with him."
