5 Children Injured After Police Chase Ends In School Bus Crash
A police chase in Robbinsdale, Minnesota ended when the vehicle being pursued crashed into a school bus loaded with approximately 20 kids.
Five children and two adults were injured Monday morning when a school bus loaded with approximately 20 kids was involved in a crash. The vehicle that hit the bus was being pursued by police at the time.
The Minnesota State Patrol (MSP) said the crash occurred after a school bus made left turn from northbound Quail Avenue North to westbound 42nd Avenue North in Robbinsdale.
At 7:37 a.m., after making the left turn, a 2006 Mitsubishi Endeavor, which was being pursued by the Robbinsdale police, rear-ended the school bus.

The Robbinsdale squad vehicle that was pursuing then struck the Mitsubishi Endeavor to block it in.
Five of the kids that were on the school bus were transported with minor injuries to North Memorial, according to MSP.

The driver of the Mitsubishi Endeavor, Argeni Macea Fernandez, 28, of Minneapolis, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say Fernandez was under the influence of alcohol.
The driver of the school bus, 37-year-old Sharan Denise Mcmath, of Robbinsdale, also suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Both were transported to North Memorial.
Authorities said a 2012 Dodge Charger was also involved in the crash, but the driver did not suffer injury.
Road conditions at the time were reported as icy and snowy.
