According to Halverson, MacDonald was at a friend's house on the evening of Saturday, Sept. 16 and had a cookie with a peanut in it. He started vomiting about an hour later, KARE 11 reported.
"We got him an EpiPen, got him right to the hospital. And then it immediately impacted his lungs while we were at the hospital, and the lungs not working put him into cardiac arrest," Halverson told the news station.
