Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Coming to St. Louis Park
St. Louis Park has been selected as a stop for this year's Canadian Pacific Holiday Train.
St. Louis Park has been selected as a stop for this year’s Canadian Pacific (CP) Holiday Train on Saturday, Dec. 10, at the intersection of Library Lane and West Lake Street. The Holiday Train’s mission is to raise awareness and collect donations to combat food insecurity in local communities. Food and financial donations gathered for the St. Louis Park Holiday Train stop will go to the St. Louis Park Emergency Program (STEP), located just 100 feet from the stop, according to a news release.
Event details
- 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Music, holiday activities, refreshments! Arrive early to get a good spot and to take part in holiday festivities.
- 4:35 p.m. (approx.) Holiday Train arrives
- 4:45 – 5:15 p.m. Holiday Train music performance featuring Kelly Prescott and Colin James.
- 5:15 – 5:30 p.m. (approx.) Holiday Train departs St. Louis Park
Since its start in 1999, the CP Holiday Train has helped collect 3.9 million pounds of food for local food banks, and more than $12 million in cash donations. In addition to raising money and awareness of food shelfs, the holiday train provides entertainment at each stop for visitors.
