ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — The Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area is about to have its first major heatwave this weekend, with potentially record-breaking temperatures in the forecast. As a result, Minnesotans will need to find a place to cool off.

MN Weather: Record-Breaking Heatwave This Weekend

"Our first weekend of June looks to be a hot one! Daily high temperature records for all three of our climate sites will be in jeopardy," the National Weather Service said.

"If you're planning on being outdoors, remember to drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks in the shade or AC, and never leave children or pets in vehicles."
