COVID-19 Hits 6 Care Facilities In St. Louis Park

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Sixty-seven care facilities have been hit with a COVID-19 exposure in Hennepin County. Of those, six are located in St. Louis Park:

The Villa at St. Louis Park

The Minnesota Department of Health does not release specific information about the cases at care facilities. However, health officials say that 19 percent of all COVID-19 exposures in the state have occurred at care facilities.

Across Minnesota, there have been 368 deaths among people who lived in long-term care or assisted living facilities.

Response to COVID-19 in St. Louis Park

St. Louis Park city facilities will remain closed to the public until Monday, May 18.

Closures include city hall, the Municipal Service Center, fire stations 1 and 2, and the police department. The Rec Center, ROC and Westwood Hills Nature Center interpretive center are also closed.

Trails and outdoor areas at Westwood Hills Nature Center remain open, but visitors must continue to social distance.
