Edina Hit-And-Run: Michigan Man Pleads Guilty
In January, a 17-year-old girl was struck by a car as she attempted to board a school bus.
EDINA, MN — Carlton Troutman pleaded guilty to second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon for a Jan. 23 hit-and-run collision in Edina. Authorities say Troutman's car struck a 17-year-old girl as she attempted to board a school bus.
Carlton Troutman is set to be sentenced Aug. 7 at 10:30 a.m.
Police say on March 11, a warrant was issued for the 26-year-old from Flint, Michigan, after he fled Minnesota following the hit-and-run incident. He was arrested in Michigan on March 13 and brought back to Minnesota March 26, according to a news release.

At the time of the accident, the victim was taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
