Granite City In St. Louis Park To Close

We have some sad news to report for Granite City fans in the west metro: the restaurant's location in St. Louis Park is closing in March.

Employees told the Star Tribune that the final day for the restaurant and microbrewery is March 26:

They said the closing arose from difficulties coming to terms on a lease at the property, just east of Hwy. 100 on Excelsior Boulevard.
Granite City, which includes a microbrewery, has been operating at that location for the past 11 years.

The restaurant chain started in St. Cloud in 1999 and grew to 36 restaurants in 14 total states.
