Gregg for City Council…A Committed Public Employee

As a young teenager, I walked into the Rec Center and interviewed for a position as an attendant in the Parks and Rec Department here in the Park.  I spent my high school and college years working seasonally and part time for Parks and Rec in various capacities.  Through that experience, I was hooked on local government and public service.

Studying Human Resource Management and Leadership as an undergrad, I intended to find an opportunity in a local agency.  My Parks and Rec background came in handy as I was hired by a local parks agency to work in Human Resources.  Nearly 10 years later, I enjoy my role as the Human Resource Manager for Three Rivers Park District.  Daily, I make the connection between the work of our staff and the highest quality public service in our agency.

As a public employee, I understand the challenges our city staff face in providing us with efficient and effective service day-in and day-out.  From my experience, we are fortunate to have some of the highest quality local government professionals serving us here in the Park.  As a councilmember, I would prioritize their support and development as I understand the difficult work each does for our benefit.
