Heads Up, West Metro: Highway 169 Closures Start April 10

Motorists will encounter one lane closed on both northbound and southbound Highway 169 next week.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Motorists will encounter one lane closed on both northbound and southbound Highway 169 between Fifth Street-Lincoln Drive and Interstate 394 starting at 5 a.m. Monday, April 10. The lane reduction is necessary as crews resurface the road on Highway 169, replace guardrail, lengthen the acceleration/deceleration lanes at Cedar Lake Road, and other road improvements. The Nine Mile Creek Bridge on Highway 169 remains closed between the Bren Road/Londonderry and Fifth Street – Lincoln Drive exit as crews continue to rebuild the bridge.

Motorists are advised to follow the signed detours to bypass the bridge closure and lane reduction on Highway 169:

  • Northbound detour: Eastbound Highway 62, Northbound Highway 100, Westbound I-394 to Highway 169
  • Southbound detour: Westbound I-394, Southbound I-494 to Highway 169

The work is expected to last through October 2017, weather permitting, according to a news release.
