Holocaust Survivor In St. Louis Park Last Witness Of Nazi Camp

H​olocaust survivor Judy Meisel, 88, of St. Louis Park​, is the last living survivor of Stutthof, a Nazi German concentration​ camp.

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — Holocaust survivor Judy Meisel, 88, of St. Louis Park, is the last living survivor of Stutthof, a Nazi German concentration camp that was located in Poland. In their efforts to bring a several people to justice, Germany’s Federal Justice Office sent investigators to visit Meisel in St. Louis Park last month. They had previously thought there were no more living survivors of the camp.

During their interview of Meisel, investigators showed her a photo of a young SS guard she hadn't seen for 75 years, the Star Tribune reported:

“Meydele! That is Meydele!” Meisel said, repeating the Yiddish term for “young girl” that she and other prisoners at the Stutthof concentration camp secretly used to describe the guard’s girlish facial features.
Now in his 90s, the man still lives freely in Germany.
