The shuttered dealership, located at 1820 Quentin Ave. S., has been vacant since it closed in 2008. Before the 2.7-acre site was a Suzuki dealership, it was a Volkswagen dealership. "We're happy to be doing something with this parcel in St. Louis Park," said Linda McGinty, Luther's director of real estate and development. "We know that it's been stagnant for a little bit now—a little bit too long. So we are just ecstatic at the prospect of bringing Fiat here." The Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval at Thursday's meeting. The proposal will now go before the City Council.
