Man Engaged In 'Sexual Acts' At Twin Cities High School: Police

One man was arrested Wednesday after authorities suspected him of engaging in sexual acts with a student at a Twin Cities high school.

One man has been arrested after authorities suspected him of engaging in sexual acts with a student at a Twin Cities high school.

On Wednesday at 12 p.m., the Brooklyn Park Police Department responded to Champlin Park High School on a report of a "suspicious incident."

Staff was alerted by a student that a suspicious male was in the school. Staff followed the male out of the school and detained him until officers arrived at the scene, according to a news release.

Police say information at this time determined the 42-year-old adult male suspect had set up a prearranged encounter with the student at the school.

The suspect entered the school and gained access into the facility. According to police, the student and the suspect met in a bathroom and are believed to have engaged in sexual acts.

The suspect was arrested for criminal sexual conduct and is currently being detained at the Brooklyn Park jail.
