Photos: Mudslide Causes Severe Damage to Minnesota Home

Following several storms and heavy rainfall this summer, mudslides are taking place along the Mississippi River Valley.

A home near Brownsville, a town in central Minnesota, sustained severe damage as a result of a recent mudslide, according to the Houston County Emergency Management.

County officials say that people living along bluff areas are advised to be aware of changing weather conditions and to seek alternative shelter if necessary.

More rain is expected in the area this week, which may result in further mudslides and flooding.

Houston County is currently under a flood watch until 4:00 p.m.
