Patch Picks: 5 Great Places to Get Ice Cream

Grab some ice cream from one of these local eateries.

Record breaking temperatures have hit a good portion of the United States, with the Twin Cities not catching a break. In St. Louis Park, there may be no hotter (er, better) week to stay inside and eat something ice cold. We bring you five great places to get ice cream in St. Louis Park:

: This is the second time M&T's has appeared as a Patch pick, and for good reason. You can grab a couple scoops of ice cream and eat lunch, too.

: Eating in your car may not sound like the best idea this week, but Galaxy's malts and shakes make it worth it. Tip: keep the A/C on and the windows up.

Muddy Paws Cheesecake: Got a birthday party this weekend that needs a cool treat? While not exactly a formal restaurant, Muddy Paws can arrange to have delicious cheesecakes and ice creams offered at your next gathering.

: Currently one of the only places—if not the only place—in St. Louis Park that offers eight different Sebastian Joe's ice cream flavors, imported weekly from S.J.'s Uptown location.

: This option may be less "local," but that doesn't take away from its reputation as offering basically every delicious ice cream treat you can think of. Depending on where you are, head to either the Park Place or Excelsior Boulevard location.
