St. Louis Park 2021 Election: Filing Period Begins Tuesday

School board and city council seats are among the offices up for election this fall in St. Louis Park

ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — The official filing period for candidates who want to run for office in St. Louis Park this year opened Tuesday. Candidates have until Aug. 10 to file in person.

All four ward council seats in St. Louis Park, as well as local school board offices, will be on the ballot this fall:

  • Independent School District 283 St. Louis Park — 3 school board members seats
  • St Louis Park – Council Member Wards 1, 2, 3, 4

  • Candidate filing: July 27 — Aug. 10
  • Early voting period: Sept. 17 — Nov. 1
  • Early registration deadline: Tuesday, Oct. 12
  • Suggested deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot: Tuesday, Oct. 19
  • Election Day, deadline to return mail-in ballot: Tuesday, Nov. 2. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
