On Wednesday night, St. Louis Park High School senior Bryce Heller received a scholarship from Michael Edlavitch, the CEO of Minnesota-based Hooda Math.
Edlavitch said he selected Heller for the award because he shares his passion for math. Heller is the leader of the school's math team, and Edlavitch is a former Minnesota middle school math teacher who created Hooda Math as an online resource for free math games.
Heller plans to study civil engineering at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. His brother Thaine received the same scholarship last year and also attends UMN.
