St. Louis Park To Host Film, Discussion On Prisons and Racial Inequality
The documentary "13TH" takes a close look at the history of racial inequality in the United States and the 13th Amendment.

The St. Louis Park Human Rights Commission is hosting a viewing and conversation about a new documentary, "13TH." Produced by Ava DuVernay, 13TH, takes a close look at the history of racial inequality in the United States and the 13th Amendment, focusing on the fact that the nation's prisons are disproportionately filled with African-Americans.
After viewing the documentary, city officials will host a focused conversation to discuss how this affects our community here in St. Louis Park.

DJ Hamm is the Vice-Chair of the St. Louis Park Human Rights Commission. Having served almost three years on the Commission, DJ is committed to making St. Louis Park a welcoming city for all - ensuring that citizens have a voice in their government, according to a news release from St. Louis Park Community Education.
