St. Louis Park Schools Put $100.9 Million Bond Before Voters
The St. Louis Park School Board voted to place a $100.9 million bond referendum before voters in the Nov. 7 election.
ST. LOUIS PARK, MN — After a two-year process that began with a strategic plan and included a learning design team and public input process, the St. Louis Park School Board voted 6-1 on April 24 to place a $100.9 million bond referendum before voters in the Nov. 7, 2017 election.
Projects included in the bond referendum are:
Central: Move Park Spanish Immersion School (PSI) to the Cedar Manor site; remodel current PSI for Early Childhood Programs; remodel current Early Childhood Programs space in Central for District Office.
High School: Move District Office to leased space to allow High School Office relocation; Remodel current High School offices into classrooms; Build a “common” kitchen to prepare healthier meals for all schools; Enlarge the lunchroom; Remodel Media Center and create a Link and Learning Commons; Build a new Weight Room; Upgrade the locker rooms; and build pilot classrooms.

Middle School: Classroom addition; Enlarge lunchroom; Upgrade kitchen; Create a secure main entrance and expand school office; Build new performing arts space and orchestra classroom; Remodel Media Center; build pilot classrooms; and add air conditioning.
Elementary Schools: Build new, secure Peter Hobart Elementary School entrance; Upgrade furniture at all schools; Upgrade kitchens at all schools; Add air conditioning at Cedar Manor, Peter Hobart, and Susan Lindgren.

Districtwide: Build a “common” kitchen at the High School to prepare healthier meals; Upgrade Lenox Community Center; Improve backbone technology; Deferred Maintenance projects.
