
For some, the words "state of the" get associated with boredom, as we've all heard the speech from a public official that rambles on and on, the clock seemingly slowing down all the while.
But St. Louis Park is hoping to break that association on Thursday during its annual "State of the City" event.
The trick? It could very well be a performance from the always-animated Mayor Jeff Jacobs, which will take the place of a traditional speech. Jacobs didn't give away much when asked about it Monday night, but he did say it would be entertaining. If it's anything like his recent foray as a , those in attendance should be in for a treat.

The State of the City is scheduled for 7:30-9 a.m. at St. Louis Park's newly renovated . A light breakfast will be served.
