Swimmer Missing After Trying To Save Woman In Lake Minnetonka
A passenger of a pontoon went missing after he jumped into the lake to help a woman who was struggling.

EXCELSIOR, MN — Authorities are searching for a swimmer who went missing in Lake Minnetonka Thursday evening. Around 6:30 p.m., deputies from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol were dispatched to a report of someone missing in Lake Minnetonka's Lower Lake.
Nine people were on pontoon boat. One woman entered the water and began to struggle, according to a news release.
Three passengers — a man and two women — jumped into the water to rescue her. All three women made it back aboard the boat safely, but the man is still missing.
