(VIDEO) Latz Objects to Abortion Funding Limits

The senator criticized the argument to limit money because some don't want to pay for abortion services.

St. Louis Park Sen. Ron Latz (DFL-District 44) was quick to object when Lakeville Sen. Dave Thompson (R-District 36) argued that abortion funding should be limited because some taxpayers don’t want to pay for abortion services.

Latz said he personally objects to giving tax credits for religious education, mortgage interest deductions on second homes and funding the Iraq war.

"Do I have the right to opt out?" he asked, adding that such an argument would “open up a long laundry list” of issues to discuss.
