Wayzata Crime Alert: String Of Thefts From Vehicles Reported

Some vehicles were left unlocked before the theft occurred, police said.

WAYZATA, MN — The Wayzata Police Department is alerting residents after takeing several reports of tampering and thefts from motor vehicles this week. The incidents happened on Rice Street East, Grand Avenue South, Barry Avenue South, Birch Lane, and the 700 block of Wayzata Boulevard East.

Some vehicles were left unlocked and a couple of vehicles had their windows broken out. All were reported to have occurred during the overnight hours.

Police remind motorists and residents to keep valuables, gifts, and personal items out of sight or remove them from your vehicle, and to always lock your doors.
