We Must Reject White Supremacists: Minnesota Republican
Erik Paulsen called for the rejection of "white supremacist groups" after deaths related to a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville.

Minnesota's Republican Rep. Erik Paulsen called for the rejection of "white supremacist groups" after three people were killed in events related to a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville Saturday. Paulsen represents Minnesota's third congressional district, which includes suburbs in the Twin Cities west metro.
A car plowed into a crowd of people believed to be counter-demonstrators Saturday afternoon at the rally in Charlottesville, killing at least one person and injuring as many as 19 others, authorities said.
"There is no place in civil, respectful society for the horrid views expressed and violence taking place in Charlottesville," Paulsen said in a statement. "We must be united as a country, not divided by bigotry."

Paulsen later called the driving of a car through a crowd of people Saturday "an act of domestic terrorism."
"My thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones. We must reject all forms of bigotry, by white supremacist groups or any group that attempts to spread hate and violence"

Other Minnesota members of the U.S. House, including Democrat Keith Ellison and Republicans Tom Emmer and Jason Lewis, also condemned Saturday's violence.
No room for hate in US political discourse. Should all stand together condemning disgusting hate, racism &violence in #Charlottesville #Mn02
