Applications For Absentee Voting Begins Today In Wright County

As of today (Friday, June 26), Wright County residents can start receiving absentee ballots for the Aug. 11 primary election.

There are two options voters can use to complete an absentee ballot application – online or filling out a standard paper application.

Absentee voters have the option of voting via US Mail or in-person. Due to COVID-19 concerns, absentee voters are being encouraged to use the mail option.

All residents of Wright County may vote in person or request a mailed absentee ballot from the Wright County Auditor/Treasurer’s Office (10 2nd St. NW, Buffalo, MN 55313). Those who intend to vote in-person are asked to schedule an appointment on the main page of the county website at the “Make an Appointment” tab with the sub-head “Elections”. Phone scheduling is available by calling (763) 682-7671 or (763) 682-7692.

Seven cities in the county do their own absentee voting – Albertville, Buffalo, Delano, Hanover, Monticello, Otsego and St. Michael. Residents of those cities are asked to request an absentee ballot from their city offices.
