Christian Ponder Probable for Vikings vs. Lions
With Jerome Simpson coming back after suspension and Christian Ponder on the injury report, this could be the most unpredictable game of the season.
Whoa! Stop the cameras! One of our biggest players are on the Vikings vs. Lions injury report? Don't worry quite yet, they're probable, not out.
The Minnesota Vikings released the injury report for their upcoming game against the Detroit Lions. Quarterback Christian Ponder and defensive end Jared Allen are listed as probable. Here's the full injury report.
Probable: Christian Ponder (neck), Kyle Rudolph (quad), Jared Allen (neck), LB Marvin Mitchell (ankle)Questionable: S Andrew Sendejo (ankle), DE D'Aundre Reed (calf)Out: Erin Henderson (concussion), S Mistral Raymond (knee)
It's very unlikely for him to not play on Sunday considering he's one of our biggest assets. Christian Ponder is the one player in the NFL that everyone will be watching. It'll be really exciting to see what he can do especially with Jerome Simpson playing now that he's done with his suspension.
"We're not going to try to force things," Ponder said Wednesday when asked about Simpson's return. "We're going to use Jerome to try to get down field and, obviously, he's got the speed to do it. Try to do some things to get the ball down field. Again, we want to make big plays but we're not going to force them."
The Vikings are currently tied for first in the NFL North. It's looking like the Vikings might be 3-1 by tomorrow night.
