January is Time for Wedding Industry Events

Now is the most popular time for couples  to become engaged, and because of this many event venues are hosting "open house" parties. As a planner, I make it a point to visit as many venues as I can so I have first hand knowledge of what they offer.

Here are a few spaces you might want to check out if you are a newly engaged couple!

The McNamara Alumni Center is having their Wedding Showcase on January 11, 2012 from 5:30-8PM. This space is amazing due to it's unique architecture and enormous amount of space. They have several areas that can be used for weddings such as the Johnson Great Room, University Hall and Memorial Hall.

The Gale Mansion, one of Minnesota's premier wedding venues, is hosting their Glamour event on January 22, 2012 from 3-7PM. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. A number of featured vendors will be on hand and you can tour the mansion.

Finally, Found Event is hosting a chic wedding and art installment at 514 Studios. 514 Studios is a modern urban chic event space located in the Warehouse district. It features exposed brick and contemporary fixtures. This blank space is perfect for the couple that wants to design their event from scratch. A variety of vendors from florists to photographers will be on hand to visit with couples.
