Legal Q&A with Jeff O’Brien
An introduction from attorney Jeff O'Brien who will be blogging about various legal topics.
I am thrilled to be one of the new bloggers for the St. Michael Patch. Allow me to take a few moments to introduce myself.
I am an attorney with the Minneapolis law firm of Lommen Abdo Cole King & Stageberg, P.A., and a resident of Albertville since 2006.
I practice in the areas of business formations, business transactions, real estate law, estate planning and probate law. My clients represent a diverse array of businesses and business owners including real estate agents, developers and investors, title companies, community banks, film producers, restaurant operators, manufacturing companies, and franchised businesses. I have significant experience with the formation of new businesses and I presently serve as President of the American Association of Microbusinesses (AAM).

I have several niche practice areas, including my work with individuals financing a business venture and/or acquiring real estate through the use of self-directed retirement accounts. Of particular interest to most folks, I also work with a number of microbreweries and retired professional athletes; in other words, I’ve turned beer and sports into business!
You can read more about me on my firm’s website or on my personal website, which also includes my main blog, “The Business Man’s Lawyer” that I’ve been writing since early 2009.
