Meet Chris Sauer, Owner and PGA Pro at Cedar Creek Golf Course in Albertville

Chris Sauer has been the owner and General Manager of Cedar Creek Golf Course in Albertville since March 2005. A Class “A” member of the PGA for 12 years, he is a graduate of New Mexico State University with a double major in Marketing and Professional Golf Management.  He began his career playing the Golden Bear Tour in Florida, and then took an assistant position at a private club in Naples.

After residing in St. Michael during high school, he and his growing family returned in 2003, when he accepted a position as Assistant Pro at Windsong Farm, in Maple Plain. 

In 2005 Cedar Creek was purchased and he jumped into the role as General Manager.  Since that time, Cedar Creek memberships and leagues have grown tremendously.  Men's, Ladies, Senior, and Couples leagues offer something for every adult; with the Junior Camps, Parent & Child Community Education Classes, and the addition of Junior Tee Boxes, golfing at Cedar Creek has truly become a family activity. 

Chris has been married to his lovely wife Erin since 1999, who was also his high school sweetheart.  Together they have five children; three boys and identical twin girls.  The boys are currently attending St. Michael Catholic School, and when not in pre-school, the girls spend their days entertaining their parents and brothers.  Together, they believe that family is the most important aspect of life. This sentiment is carried through professionally, as his latest undertaking is to find ways to make golf more fun and enjoyable for everyone, and specifically plans to expand the offerings for ladies and kids.
