Hello everyone, my name is Courtney Hanson and I am running for Miss Albertville this year! I am 17 years old and will be graduating with honors from St. Michael-Albertville high school in June. This fall I will be attending Winona State University in hopes of fulfilling my life-long dream of being a nurse. Some in-school activities I am involved in are National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America (where I am the historian), boys Varsity hockey (where I am one of three managers), and softball. Outside of school I enjoy working at Walgreens, playing club softball, watching hockey, and hanging out with my friends. Being in so many activities has really given me a chance to take a step back and look at the community that we live in. One of my absolute favorite community gatherings is Friendly City Days. It is awesome to see two cities come together and kick off the summer in a positive way. My three favorite parts of Friendly City Days are watching the softball tournament, eating corn on the cob and watching the parade. My little buddy is Chloe, and although I have not met her, I know we are going to have a blast! I absolutely cannot wait to ride alongside her in the parade this year! Lastly I would just like to thank Pet Nation in Albertville for sponsoring me this year, it means a lot! I am both excited and honored because I know they love animals just as much as I do!
