Hi Everyone!
My name is Katie Thelen and I am happy to be an Albertville Royalty candidate this year!
I am 17 years old and just about to finish up my junior year of high school. I am involved in spanish club and soccer, along with managing boys basketball and being a student ambassador. I like to stay involved with the community as well. I have taken a part of activities and teaching at my church. My favorite volunteering opportunity I have been a part of is the Minnesota Special Olympics. I can't wait for this summer to attend the special olympics again!
My favorite part of Albertville Friendly City Days is the whole thing. It is great to see a community together and have a good time. The carnival games are fun, the fireworks are spectacular, and the parade on Sunday is super fun. I have been going to Friendly City Days ever since I can remember. I always looked up to the royalty court, and wanted to be a figure for the community. I am running for Miss Albertville because I would love to be more involved with the community, and have fun with it.
My buddies are Tailyn and Jacob. I have not met either of them yet, but I am excited to meet them soon. They make adorable Junior Candidates. I can't wait to ride in the parade with them this year.
