Meet Miss Albertville Candidate #7 - Atalie!!

Candidate #7 - Atalie

Hey there everyone! My name is Atalie Duncan,

I am candidate #7 and I am hoping to be a part of the Albertville Royal Court this year.  If chosen, I most look forward to showing other communities that we welcome them to join us in all of the fun. I have lived here for 11 years, and I would love to have the opportunity to help lead and represent the friendly community of Albertville.

My absolute favorite thing about Friendly City Days, is taking my aunt, Carol Ann to go play games. She has a congentital disease called Arthrogryposis, and is unable to bend her arms and legs. This is something that is very dear to me because I am able to spend so much quality time with her! Although, aunt Carol loves to play those games, she has made it very clear to me that she would rather wave to me in the parade!

Some of my favorite things consist of cheerleading, acting, and being surrounded by children! I am in the Student Ambassador program at
STMA High School. That is where you show all of the new kids around! I am
always trying to make people as comfortable as possible, I could not imagine
walking into such a giant school in which we are blessed with; and I really
love being involved in that program. In my free time I babysit, go to church,
hang out with friends and family, as well as work! I currently work as a
receptionist at Artisan Salon and Spa, and I could not have asked for a more
perfect job.

For my future plans, I will do PSEO at North Western
College during my Senior year at STMA and then further my education by attending Winona State, studying nursing.

Upcoming we have a rock-a-thon where the candidates, as well as the members of the Royalty Program will rock in rocking chairs outside of Coborns for twelve hours! Please, anyone feel free to say hello there, the parade or whenever you see me!

I tend to not be the shy, timid type, and I absolutely love welcoming new people. As you can probably tell, I really want to meet you! I have already had the opportunity to spend some time with the other candidates as we
all joined together to go bowling. It was amazing to be able to get to know
them all on a more personal level. Seeing them occasionally in the hallways at
school and not knowing their true personality was unfortunate for me. After the
bowling event, a few of them came to my house to try on dresses! It was a wonderful bonding time and I really am glad to be running side-by-side with these girls!

Something I also love to do is travel. Which is perfect since my sponsor is Pineapple Travel! I cannot tell you how excited I am to represent such a positive and family-based business. Pineapple Travel is a full service travel agency and is owned by the lovely Carrie Kitzberger! They guarantee the best prices and can make your travel dreams come true!

Last but not least, I am glad to know that my junior buddies are Kaci and Katie. They both seem so sweet! I do know Katie from the STMA Cheerleading camp! She was totally filled with energy and never complained one bit! Kaci just seems like a little a mini me, all sassed up with a very nice and cute attitude!

Thanks so much for reading a little bit about myself, Pineapple Travel, and the other candidates! Also thank you so much for your support and I truly will not let you down if I am chosen to be Miss Albertville 2013-2014.
