Miss Albertville Candidate #6, Brittany shares her experience in the Zimmerman Parade
I was so excited waking up Saturday morning knowing that I am going to dress up like a cowgirl for the Zimmerman Wild West Days Parade.Β It was fun to see
all the great cowgirl outfits and we all decided to wore our hair in braids.Β Once we were all ready, we were split in groups and each car had 2 to 3 girls to a car.Β The ride there and as we were waiting I was able to get to know my fellow candidates, current Albertville royalty, and staff.Β Also we were given the privilege
of meeting amazing royalty from other cities.Β Once the parade started it was nice to see all the people that come to watch this event.Β The community was
supportive and everyone was so friendly.Β It was fun walking in the parade with the candidates and the current royalty.Β When youβre actually in the
parade it goes so fast and the next thing you canβt believe it is over
already.Β My favorite thing about going to the parades is watching the reaction of the kids as we go bye.Β They smile and gave us waves as though they
knew us.Β It was neat seeing this, and the impact we make on other people.Β It was enjoyable to talk with the other candidates on the
way to and from the parade.Β I made good friends with both the current candidates and the chaperone from different cities.Β I think we were very good
representatives of our city.Β I hope to be in their shoes next year.Β It was sure
a lot of fun!
