Preparing for Spring Break Travel
We are just days away from Spring break are you ready? If not I've got some last minute packing tips and travel advice for those of you preparing to travel.
If you’re taking a spring break trip, you’ve probably already
made your plans and reservations. That’s good, because recent airline
consolidations and schedule cutbacks mean that last-minute arrangements can be
difficult. In fact, it’s ideal to start planning your spring break travel five
or six months in advance. That gives you time to consider different
destinations, accommodations and types of travel; and, a travel professional can
give you expert advice on each of those decisions. I have already taken calls from clients looking for travel plans for next years Spring break!
If you’re leaving home
for spring break, it’s also likely that you’re going somewhere warmer than where
you live. Here are some packing essentials for a warm-weather spring break:
•
Sun protection, including sun block, after-sun lotion, lip protection, a hat,
and a lightweight cover-up.
• Insect repellent to keep any local pests.
•
Pain reliever to counteract the effects of too much sun or too much
exertion.
• A pair of closed shoes to wear when you want to hike up to the
local lookout point.
• A lightweight sweater or jacket in case the evenings
get cool.
• A good book.
Pack carefully and selectively. Most airlines
now charge for each checked bag, so limiting yourself to a single bag is a good
idea. Remember that oversized or overweight bags may cost more. If you haven’t
made your spring break reservations yet, contact us right away – we will help
you find the best last-minute options available. ~ This article provided
