St. Michael Patch Welcomes Newest Blogger, Local Photographer Maris Ehlers

Hello Patch Readers!

My name is Maris Ehlers, and I own Maris Ehlers Photography (often called MEP).  I have been documenting family life in the Twin Cities for nearly fifteen years, first as a hobby, then a passion, and finally, professionally. 

I have operated a studio out of my home in Greenfield for several years, and this past fall, my production manager Angel and I realized the dream of launching Maris Ehlers Photography in a retail studio in Hanover. 

We believe that everyone has a story, and our goal is to tell yours.  

We specialize in wedding photography, high school seniors, families and children, and often use the beauty of the local area here in St. Michael / Albertville and beyond for the backdrops for our clients. 

I am excited to be blogging for St. Michael Patch, and look forward to providing you with a running commentary on all things photography.  We'll be including tutorials, tips and tricks, and even some photo challenges for those of you who want a little inspiration to get out and start shooting. 

You don't need to be a professional or have the best gear to take great pictures, and we hope you'll join us for some fun camera chats.
