Things Parents Overlook

Most families think of child safety as baby gates and outlet covers but what about the things you can not purchase at a store?

We take so many steps to ensure that our children are safe. I know before our oldest daughter was born we bought outlet covers, car seats, and baby gates. However, there are things in life we don't think of, things that can not be purchased at our local stores. These things are actually most imprortant to the well being of our families.  Most people think of a will, however MOST people don't follow through and actually get one.  70% of families with children under 18 don't have a will. That is shocking when you consider a will is the most important document to ensure your wishes for your child's care are honored. Would you leave your child with a babysitter without giving any instuctions?  Other things to consider are insurance.  Most people want to insure that their family can afford to cover the diapers, groceries and monthly bills in the event of their passing. That's why families purchase life insurance. But what if you didn't die...what if you got injured at work, or in a car accident, or discoverd you have cancer? Have you ever considered ddisability insurance? Between the ages of 35 and 65, you have a one in three chance of having a disability lasting more then 90 days. If you cannot work, how are you going to pay your bills? Did you know about 46 percent of all home foreclosures are caused by the disability of a family's breadwinner?  Some employers offer disability insurance however I challenge you to sit down and figure out if what you would receive at claim time would be enough to sustain your current lifestyle. I know if my husband or I were facing a medical hardship the LAST thing I would want to do is worry about paying bills and buying groceries. If you want some assistance looking at your disability coverage please contact Corey Anderson at 952-641-5204.  He would be happy to discuss your income protection so you can rest assure your family is taken care of!
