Vendor Spotlight - The Woods Chapel in Wayzata
Marissa Partridge gives the scoop on one of her favorite outdoor ceremony venues.
The Woods Chapel located in Wayzata is one of those magical spaces to get married at! I can't tell you how lovely it is, though I will try. It has beautiful paths through a forest with lush fern and hosta gardens. There is a magnificent pond with a private flagstone grotto for cocktail hour and an amazing ceremony space...both inside and out!
If you wish to be married in a more formal ceremony you can host your wedding inside their charming chapel. This is a warm, cozy space for all seasons! The Chapel can host 250 people. If you want to have a reception in the downstairs banquet hall they can accommodate up to 100 people.
During the summer months, couples usually opt to wed outside at their amphitheater style ceremony space overlooking a beautiful pond. It can host 350 people. If you want to have an outdoor tented wedding they can host 200 or under. However, you must provide your own event planning, and catering professionals. It is also advisable that you provide additional restroom facilities.

The Woods Chapel is a perfect space to host both your ceremony and reception because you can pick your own vendors! This is huge! You can go with whichever catering company, florist or band you want! There is not pre-selected vendor list that you must use. This is fabulous if you are that type of bride that want opstions.
In addition to the vendor perks, the Woods Chapel has wonderful spaces for the bridal party to get ready. There is a cute cottage with the upstairs devoted to the bride and her maids. It is painted shabby chic white and is a magical space to ready yourself in before the vows.

The bottom of the cottage is devoted to the groom and his guys and is decidedly more masculine. How nice to have space where you both can get ready before your ceremony but still remain unseen to each other! If you want to meet for a "first peek" the grotto is the perfect place for your photographer to capture that moment.
